10MSPS Dual Sampling A/D Converter 13-07-06

C&D Technologies has introduced a fully integrated, dual sampling 10MSPS, 14-bit resolution analogue-to-digital-converter. Housed in a standard 40-pin triple-wide SMT DIP, the ADSD-1410S is available in two versions. The standard product is rated for use between ambient temperatures of 0ºC and +70ºC, while the ADSD-1410S-EX is suitable for use between –55ºC and +125ºC.

The module delivers no-missing-code performance across its full operating temperature range. The ADSD-1410S has an input range of ±2.5V, two fast-settling sample/hold amplifiers, two 14-bit A/D Converters, multiplexed output buffers, a precision reference, edge triggering, and all the necessary timing and control logic to operate from either two, or a single-start convert pulse.

The modules provide a range pin function that allows changes to be made to the analogue input range. The digital output power supply of the ADSD-1410S is capable of directly driving either 5V or 3V logic systems. The specification of the ADSD-1410S includes a signal-to-noise ratio of 76dB and total harmonic distortion of –83dB. The modules, which require a ±5V supply and typically consume 1.6W.
