128-Tap, Nonvolatile, Up/Down Digital Potentiometer 13-02-06

Maxim Integrated Products introduces the MAX5128 128-tap, nonvolatile digital potentiometer. The 2mm x 2mm microDFN package, 1.5 microamps (max) standby supply current, 2-wire, up/down interface, and +2.7V to +5.25V single supply make this device ideal for portable battery-powered electronics. The up/down serial interface controls the wiper position and programs the nonvolatile memory that stores the wiper position, thus enabling the MAX5128 to power up to an unique, predefined state. The device offers ratiometric and end-to-end temperature coefficients as low as 5ppm/degree Celsius and 75ppm/degree Celsius, respectively. The potentiometer is available with an end-to-end resistance of 20 kilohms, and is guaranteed over the -40 degrees Celsius to +85 degrees Celsius operating temperature range. Pricing for the MAX5128 starts at $0.68 (1000-up, FOB USA).
