Gleichmann Electronics presents part number NL8048BC19-02, the 7.0 inches TFT display, designed by NEC LCD Technologies and built using twisted nematic (TN) technology. It has a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels and is controlled via a selectable 6-bit or 8-bit low-voltage differential signaling (LVDS) interface. Luminance is 400 cd/m² and contrast ratio 500:1.

A foil technology allows both horizontal and vertical viewing angles of 160° typical. An additional feature is the integrated reverse scan function. This allows the user, if required, to rotate the image 180 degrees so that it can be mounted, depending on the application, to give the optimal viewing angle.

The power consumption of the panel is 3.0 W approximately, the LED backlight has a lifetime / mean time to failure (MTTF) of 50.000 hours typical.
