Abacus Group announced the promotion of Alan Jermyn to the newly created role of General Manager, Abacus ECD (Electronic Component Distribution) UK, reporting to Graham McBeth, Managing Director of Abacus Group. At the same time, the Group announced that Felix Corbett has been appointed Marketing Director for interconnect and electromechanical products alongside his existing responsibilities for passives. Alan Jermyn will take overall responsibility in the UK for the Abacus, Micromark and Abacus Deltron companies.

Jermyn was previously Managing Director of Abacus Group’s Micromark and Abacus Deltron UK component distribution businesses as well as General Manager of the Group’s own-brand businesses – Dubilier and Eledis. He joined the Group in 2000 with the acquisition of passives distributor C&CD, where he was joint Managing Director. On the merger of Micromark with C&CD he was appointed Marketing Director.

Felix Corbett was previously Abacus Marketing Manager for passive components. He joined Abacus from Panasonic in 2005, where he spent five years as Northern European Distribution Manager for passive components.
