Altera announced 2006 sales of $1.29 billion, up 14%, compared with $1.12 billion in 2005. Net income for 2006 was $323.2 million, versus net income of $278.8 million in 2005. Fourth quarter sales were $317.4 million, up 13 percent from the fourth quarter of 2005 and down 7 percent from the third quarter of 2006. Fourth quarter net income was $99.9 million, up 43 percent compared with net income of $69.7 million in the fourth quarter of 2005.
