Altera announced second quarter sales of $359.9 million, up 7 percent from the first quarter of 2008 and up 13 percent from the second quarter of 2007. Second quarter net income was $98.0 million, up from net income of $83.9 million, in the first quarter of 2008. Second quarter net income was up 22 percent compared with the second quarter of 2007.
