Analog Devices names Vice president for Europe 25-07-08



Thomas Wessel

At Analog devices, Thomas Wessel was promoted to Vice President Sales and Marketing Europe. Wessel has been with the company since 2003 and from May 2005 had occupied the post of Managing Director European Sales und Marketing. Previously, he worked for Texas Instruments.

 

In addition to his promotion, Thomas Wessel can also enjoy his award of the second prize in this year’s International Business Awards. The award, known by the nickname Stevie – for the Greek word “Crowned” – will be presented in Dublin on the 8th of September. The main sponsors of the event are Dow Jones and IDA Ireland. The Stevie Awards are presented in four categories: The American Business Awards, the International Business Awards, the Stevie Awards for Women in Business and the Stevie Awards for Sales & Customer Service.

 

The jury selected Thomas Wessel in the category “Best Turnaround Executive” in order to honour him for his positive changes in the European Marketing and Sales Organisation Under his leadership, ADI in Europe achieved an annual sales growth in the double-digit range.
