Appliance outlet with IDC terminals 19-03-09

The 6610 from Schurter is a appliance outlet using IDC terminal technology. This product allows reduction of labour costs by supporting a more efficient assembly method. Multiple outlets can be banked and wire connections can be bussed, connecting the terminals all at once.

The product is especially suited for power distribution units and appliances with multiple power outputs. The IEC F appliance outlet is equipped with IDC terminals and available for two different wiring versions, “along” and “across” to the connector pin axis. The terminals accept insulated solid wires with cross section AWG 12 / 2.5 mm2 and AWG 16 / 1.0 – 1.5 mm2. The component is designed for snap-in mounting and comes with a protective back cover.

The cover serves as a “wire press” to push the wires into the IDC terminals and, at the same time prevents from electrical shock. Special versions with an individual quick connect or solder line terminal are available. The series 6610 is approved by ENEC and cURus and is qualified for applications in accordance with IEC/EN 60950.
