Atmel has been named the winner in the Semiconductors and Electronic Components category for the American Technology Awards, which bestows the only "Best Of" awards that recognize all technology products and services for the technology industry.

The award was attributed to the Atmel maXTouch largescreen solution that supports touchscreens up to 15 inches for emerging products including tablets, smartbooks, mobile Internet devices (MIDs), Netbooks, PC notebooks, and a range of industrial applications.
