| The Avnet Electronics Marketing Americas announces the launch of the Avnet Embedded division, and the appointment of Jeff Ittel as senior vice president to lead this division. The new sales division will focus on providing embedded solutions for customers in the Americas region. It will offer such products as single board computers, storage products drives, flat panels, operating systems and integration services. Ittel, a 25-year industry veteran, will be responsible for all aspects of management for Avnet Embedded, including running the division and setting up the sales structure. He most recently served as senior vice president of marketing and business development for Avnet Electronics Marketing Americas (EMA), and has also served as senior vice president of Avnet EMA's semiconductor business group and president and director of the Avnet Cilicon product business group. He has been a corporate officer of Avnet, Inc. since 2003. |
