Avnet Electronics Marketing has appointed Frank Stephan as a member of its board of directors of Avnet EG. In this function he will strengthen the management team of Patrick Zammit (President Avnet EM EMEA), Karlheinz Weigl (VP CE Silica) and Michael Knappmann (VP CE Avnet Abacus). Stephan has been active since 2005 as Regional Vice President of Avnet Memec, its business in Central and Eastern Europe.
He arrived in the course of the acquisition of Memec by Avnet EMG. There he was active from 2002 as Managing Director Germany at Memec Insight. Stephan started his career in 1995 as Field Sales Engineer at NEC Electronics where he later had several manager positions in the European company.
