Avnet Memec has signed a Pan-European distribution agreement with Simtek. Under this agreement, Avnet Memec will market Simtek's NVRAMs (nonvolatile memory), and will provide its customers with technical design-in support for the products. Simtek designs and markets high-speed, re-programmable, nonvolatilesemiconductor memory products for use in a variety of systems, including RAID servers, high-performance workstations, GPS navigational systems, robotics, copiers and printers, and networking and broadcasting equipment. Avnet Memec was established through the integration of Memec and WBC operations and operates from 30 offices in 17 European countries.
