Batteries for hearing aid acousticians 23-10-09

This year Varta Microbattery GmbH was present with a booth on the International Congress of Hearing Aid Acousticians. The 54th International Hearing Aid Acousticians Congress took place from 21 to 23 October 2009 in the Congress Centre in Nuremberg. Varta Microbattery focused their presentation on rechargeable hearing aid batteries. These high-performance NiMH batteries are characterized by their reliability and quality. This environmental friendly technology is made in Ellwangen, Germany, and is subject to strict safety and quality checks.

Charging systems for hearing aid batteries can also be provided. The system pocket charger is suitable for charging of one or two rechargeable hearing aid batteries. Batteries of three important sizes can be charged. The pocketcharger is powered by a rechargeable Lithium-Polymer battery and requires no electrical outlet. Empty cells can be recharged in up to 2.5 hours depending on their type. Batteries who are not completely discharged will be automatically discharged before the charging process to improve safety and durability. For charging of a fourth important type Varta Microbattery offers the 675 charger. For a power supply in your pocket we also provide the extremely convenient pencharger.

The pencharger is driven by two microbatteries (AAA) and charges automatically power one battery without power supply, automatically in five hours. It is an indisdensable tool for users of hearing aids. For implants and modern hearing aids Varta Microbattery offers the hearing aid battery Implant plus. For this cell type we have improved battery life considerably utilising new technology. New sealing technology has increased battery volume and this results in greater capacities. The cell is recommended by Cochlear for use in implants.
