Benq insolvency: 400 layoffs 400 at Infineon 26-10-06

In the Benq mess

Due to the insolvency of BenQ Mobile GmbH und Co OHG, Infineon is expecting charges totalling 230 m Euro. With this background the company expects to lay off approximately 400 jobs, of which almost 200 will take place at the sites of Munich, Salzgitter and Nuremberg. The costs for the restructuring measures are expected to come to approximately 30 million Euro.
