Bourns, manufacturer of analogue, power supply and passive modules has bought the automobile sensor segment from the American SSI Technologies for an undisclosed sum. In the taken-over company department of sensors, SSI develops and produces monitoring systems for ABS and pressure. The remaining parts of the company will concentrate on the manufacture of components from sinter materials. Besides production facilities in Wisconsin, Detroit and Mexico, SSI also has subsidiaries in Japan (Tokyo) and Germany (Marburg).
