| The Electronic Design Automation (EDA) Consortium has appointed Cadence president and CEO Lip-Bu Tan to its board of directors to serve the organization through the spring of 2010. Cadence has been an active member of the EDA Consortium since 1988. The appointment marks the return of Cadence to the EDA Consortium board. In January 2009 Cadence has appointed Lip-Bu Tan as president and chief executive officer.
