Carbon Nanotube Technology from ON Semiconductor and Nantero 24-05-06

ON Semiconductor and Nantero announced they have teamed up to develop semiconductor process technology, continuing ongoing work to integrate carbon nanotubes in CMOS fabrication. The joint development project is taking place at ON Semiconductor's Gresham manufacturing campus. The facility - recently purchased from LSI Logic - has production capabilities down to the 130 nanometers node. Nantero's proprietary processes for the use of carbon nanotubes are CMOS-compatible and are presently under development at ON Semiconductor's Gresham semiconductor manufacturing campus. Nantero itself is developing NRAM - a high-density nonvolatile random access storage device. NRAM can be manufactured for both standalone and embedded memory applications. Nantero is also working with licensees on the development of additional applications of Nantero's core nanotube-based technology.
