C&D Technologies reported for the third quarter a net loss of $21.7 million, on revenues of $130.7 million. This compared to a net loss of $60 million, in the prior year's third quarter, on revenues of $127 million. The Standby Power Division reported net sales of $68.8 million, down 1.6% from $69.9 million in the third quarter of fiscal 2006. The Motive Power Division posted total net sales of $14.6 million, up 5.7% year over year from $13.8 million in the third quarter of fiscal 2006. The Power Electronics Division posted total net sales of $47.3 million, up 9.4% on a year-over-year basis from $43.3 million. The company recently stated that they are exploring strategic alternatives for the Power Electronics Division, including possible divestiture of that business.
