White Electronic Designs Corporation announced that Hamid R. Shokrgozar has resigned as Chairman, President, Chief Executive Officer, and director to pursue other opportunities. Following to that, Edward A. White, the Company's founder, was elected Chairman of the Board. The Board has begun an immediate search for a replacement. Until a permanent replacement is identified, Roger A. Derse, Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, and Dante V. Tarantine, Executive Vice President Sales and Marketing, will perform the duties of the office of the President of the Company.

Shokrgozar has been CEO since October 1998. Prior he was President and CEO of Bowmar Instrument Corporation, President and CEO of White Microelectronics, a division of Bowmar Instrument Corporation from June 1993 until October 1998. From June 1989 to June 1993, Shokrgozar was Vice President of Engineering for the White Microelectronics division.

White Electronic manufactures components, systems, and branded products for military, industrial, medical and commercial markets. The products provide semiconductor packaging, hi-performance memory, industrial LCD monitor, industrial keyboard and custom membrane keypad solutions.
