In June 2006 the turnover of the circuit board manufacturers in Germany was at the same level as in the previous month. This was reported by the german Verband der Leiterplattenindustrie [Association of the Circuit Board Industry] and the german ZVEI-Fachverband Electronic Components. The turnover increased by almost 7% compared to June 2005. The half-yearly turnover was approximately 10% above that for the same period of the previous year. The orders received in June 2006 were almost 10% less than in May. Cumulated, the growth was almost 23% above that of the same period of the previous year. The good half-yearly balance leads to expectations of a positive result for the whole of the year. The rate of employment in June 2006 was somewhat higher than in June 2005. With a value of 0.99, the Book-to-Bill ratio was slightly under par. However, according to the VDL, this level is substantially higher than that of previous years.
