Closing report of the SPS/IPC/DRIVES 2008 27-11-08


The SPS/IPC/DRIVES 2008 ended on Thursday. It was held over 3 days, during which 1,386 exhibitors (2007: 1321) showed their products to more than 48,100 visitors. This was 2,138 more than in the previous year. The proportion of foreign visitors was 16%. The exhibition area was 94,700 m² (2007: 87,900 m²) spread over 11 halls Two forums concerned themselves with the Ethernet in Automation, Safety and Security in Automation, Motion Control and Web Automation. The congress of the SPS/IPC/DRIVES was held in parallel to the fair. This involved lectures on the areas of product installations, electrical drives, industrial communication and energy efficiency. 406 persons took part in the congress; in 2007 it was 447.

 

The SPS/IPC/DRIVES 2009 will be held from the 24th to the 26th November again at the fair centre in Nuremberg.
