The Fachverband der Bauelemente Distribution e.V. (FBDi e. V.) [Trade Association for Components Distribution] announces a slight weakening of turnover in the first quarter of 2005: Minus 2.5% compared to the same period of the previous year. The total turnover of the distributors reporting in the FBDI in Q1/2005 was almost 518 million Euro (previous year: ~531 million Euro). The largest product area were semiconductors with approximately 69% of the reported FBDI statistics (without CPUs and DRAMS for the PC market which are not counted by the FBDI), followed by the passive components with almost 18% and the electro-mechanical components with approximately 11%.

The Book-to-Bill ratio announced by the FBDI for Q1/2005 was 0.99.
