Components distribution in Germany 2005 28-02-06

Power supplies rising

The German Association for Component Distribution (FBDi e.V.) has reported an increase of turnover for the fourth quarter 2005 of 9% compared to the previous year. The Book-to-Bill rate for the fourth quarter and the year 2005 was equalized with 1.0. The total turnover of the distributors reporting in the FBDI in 2005 was almost 1.98 million Euro (previous year: 1.99 million Euro).

 

The largest product area were semiconductors with almost 70% of the reported statistics (without CPUs and DRAMS for the PC market which are not taken into account), followed by the passive components with almost 17% and the electro-mechanical components with approximately 11%. With reference to the reported product areas, the semiconductor turnover was reduced by 1% and the turnover for passive components by 2.4% Electro-mechanical components increased by 3.3%. The turnover of displays was reduced by 1.3%. Power supplies had an increase of turnover of 11.2%.
