The distributors organized in the FBDi were able to turn over a total of 455 million Euro in the 4th quarter of 2009 in Germany. This almost corresponds to the results of the Q3/2009. With a shortfall of 14.1% the turnover was reduced compared to Q4/2008 but not as strong as in Q2/2009 with a minus of 30%.

In total the 2009 annual turnover was reduced by 24% to 1.82 billion Euro. In comparison with the record year 2007 the industry has lost around 29% in turnover and when Q4/2009 is compared with the record quarter Q1/2007 even 37%. The distribution in turnover between semiconductors (70%), passive components (15%), electro-mechanical (12%) and other components (3%) remained almost the same.

The FBDi talks of a change of trend in the 4th quarter. Just as the tendency was downwards in the last 4 quarters, the tendency at present seems to be in the other direction. With1.26, the Book-to-Bill rate in Q4/2009 is seen as a suspicious allocation. In the 1st quarter 2010 the start is on a much higher plane.
