Cypress Semiconductor announced that revenue for the 2006 first quarter was $249.1 million, up 4.5% from prior-quarter revenue and up 24.4% from year-ago first-quarter revenue. The company posted GAAP net income of $7.1 million in the 2006 first quarter. This compares with the year-ago first quarter net loss of $68.8 million.
