Desktop/Wall-mounted Cases 14-03-06

The Comtec series of cases from OKW has an angle of inclination of 10° for the dialogue area. This angle is generally considered to be "ideal". This makes desktop units easier to operate, and applications on the wall – then rotated by 180° – can be mounted lower than usual. The inclined dialogue surface is recessed by 1.2 mm as standard, for the installation and protection of display and control elements as well as of membrane keyboards. The relevant upper part of the case and a rear flange form a unit with an angle of 90°. This makes it possible to prepare electronics with input elements and displays, together with fixed interfaces, as an all-in package.

The Comtec 290 was designed as a two-part system in the standard colours off-white (RAL 9002) and black (RAL 9005), consisting of an upper and a lower part. To mount the cases, the two individual parts interlock at the front, and the parts are secured on the rear surface using only 2 screws. The mounting elements are thus completely located outside the field of view, but they are always accessible - even with wall-mounted applications. The basic dimensions are 290 x 200 x 44/75.5 mm (W x D x H). A ABS material (UL 94 HB) is used as the standard material..
