OKW Gehäusesysteme announced a range of DIN rail cases for mounting components as well as for subsequent connection work. There is a variety of possible applications, ranging from automation, building and safety technology, heating and air conditioning technology, through open and closed loop control techno-logy to individual subracks.
As standard, the RAILTEC range of cases consists of 4 basic versions: the version "C" offers different connection options for standard commercial components, such as terminal blocks, PCB plug headers and front connectors (single-sided and/or double-sided connections); to fit DIN rails EN 50 022 (TS 35) or direct wall mounting. Up to 9 standard module widths, different terminal guards as well as plane and convex covers are available for this type. The second version "CM" features integrated connection technology for 8 connectors each on four levels; for cable cross-sections of max. 2 x 2.5 mm/2 rigid or stranded conductor design (ring eyelet/cable lug/flat connector), also to fit DIN rails EN 50 0 22 (TS 35) or for direct mounting on the wall. The standard module width is 17.5 mm, but this can be individually extended. The RAILTEC CB allows the installation of 5.0 plug header blocks, max. 12-pin. Unused connection panels can be closed with push-on side walls, either with ventilation slots or without, for DIN rails EN 50 022 (TS 35) and EN 50 035 (TS 32). The fourth version "CC" also has integrated assembly technology for 12 connections per case; max. cable cross-section 2 x 2.5 mm/2 rigid or 2 x 1.5mm/2 stranded conductor design. Here, PCB pins reduce the work involved in wiring. A removable front with integrated clips facilitates the labelling of the former.
All versions can easily be connected through the snap-in installation of the individual case parts. In addition, the smooth side walls allow several cases to be lined up one beside the other. The range of general accessories also includes a so-called "Support". This allows more flexibility through the simple replacement of the interfaces and a modular design for individual component mounting.
