Schurter, a manufacturer of products in the areas of appliance protection, IEC connectors, EMC and input systems, and Rutronik Elektronische Bauelemente GmbH, third largest European distributor of electronic components, have announced the signing of a new franchise agreement. As the result, Rutronik will distribute the entire Schurter product range with immediate effect. Joerg Ciper, Marketing Director Electromechanical Components at Rutronik sees great opportunities for both companies in this cooperative venture.
Schurter has its headquarters in Lucerne Switzerland and was established in 1933 by Heinrich Schurter. The four strategic business areas include fuses, connectors, circuit breakers for equipment and input systems. More than 1100 employees are working at the production facilities in Switzerland, Germany, France, Czech Republic, India, Hong Kong, China and sales offices in USA, UK, Sweden, Italy, Singapore and Japan.
