Distribution: The Top-Ten in Germany in 2005 19-07-06

Europartner Consultants has compiled a list of the turnovers of the module distributors in Germany for the year 2005. According to this list, the DTAM (Distribution Total Available Market) fell in comparison to 2004 by 1% to 3.6 b Euro. In 2004 there was still a growth of 14%. In 2005 the DTAM for semiconductors was reduced by 2% to 2.6 b Euro,while the passive modules grew by 2% to 451 m Euro. The segment of electro-mechanics lost 0.8% and closed the year with 529 m Euro.

 

The development of the individual "Top-Ten” distributors showed 3 winners and 7 losers. A positive balance was reported by Glyn (+22%), TTI (+19%) and Betronik (+3%). In the ranking by turnover, Avnet was at the lead after the takeover of the Memec group. In total, the top Ten represented 59.8% of the market in Germany.
