DOSA compliant 5V/12V converter 14-04-08

Lineage Power announced the availability of the 5/12Vin MicroTLynx converter. These open frame modules are designed per the latest DOSA standard footprint specification. The converter has an input voltage range of 4.5 to 14V. These modules deliver up to 12A of output current at a precisely regulated output voltage from 0.69Vdc to 5.5Vdc, programmable via an external resistor. The converter offers the same high efficiency as the Lynx series but with improved thermal performance due to innovations in design and packaging. In addition, standard features include programmable output voltage, remote on/off, remote sense, Power Good, monotonic start up, EZ-SEQUENCE, over current and over temperature protection.

The device offers the Tunable-Loop feature which allows engineers to optimize the control loop to improve transient response and reduce the amount of external filtering. The converter, currently available in a SMT package measuring 0.8 in x 0.45 in x 0.295 in (20.3 mm x 11.4 mm x 7.49 mm), features the LGA (Land-Grid-Array) interconnect method. Supporting an industrial operation temperature range of -40°C to +85°C, the modules meet EU Directive 2002/95/EC RoHS initiatives as well as industry standard board cleaning processes.
