The ECA (Electronic Components, Assemblies & Materials Association) honors five people with the Dr. Felix Zandman Award at CARTS USA. The award is named after Dr. Zandman (picture) - the founder, chairman and chief technical and business development officer of Vishay Intertechnology. It recognizes individuals who have made outstanding technical contributions to the passive electronic components industry. The award is a plaque, presented at a special ceremony during CARTS. The inaugural award honored this year: D. Clemmer, Johanson Dielectrics; M. Cozzolino, Boeing Satellite Systems; G. Ewell, The Aerospace Corp.; R. Regner, MIT Draper Laboratory; and W. Serjak, Tantalum-Niobium International Study Center. An award will also be presented annually at CARTS Europe and CARTS Asia.
