Electro-mechanical modules in Germany: 2% Growth in 2008 16-04-08

A growth of 2.4% in 2008 is expected by the german ZVEI-Zentralverband Elektrotechnik und Elektronikindustrie [German Electrical and Electronic Manufacturer’s Association] in the market for electro-mechanical modules, after 2% in 2007. The machine construction and auto industries have provided especially good impulses. The prognoses apply equally well to the field of switches and device fuses as also for plug connections. The year 2007 closed with a total volume of 2.82 bn Euro for the electro-mechanical modules in Germany. Plug connections booked an increase in turnover of 2.5% and reached a total volume in Germany of 1.9 bn Euro. With 67% this was the largest market segment.
