Electronic modules: Turnover growth in 3rd quarter 2007 17-12-07

The manufacturers of electronic modules organized in the ZVEI, the Association of Electronic Components and Systems in Germany, reports that in comparison to the 2nd quarter, there was an increase in turnover in the 3rd quarter of 6.4% . In Germany the turnover increased by 7% compared to the previous quarter whereas the growth in turnover for export was 2.6%. The orders received from Germany rose when compared to the previous quarter by 1.9% and declined for exports by 11%. In total there was a slight decline in orders received (-0.7%). However, it was still 1.5% above that of the 1st quarter of 2007.

 

For the overall market for electronic modules in Germany, the ZVEI recons with a turnover of 23.2 bn Euro for the year 2007 which corresponds to a plus of 3.5% compared to the previous year. An increase of 3.7 % is expected for 2008.
