In 2008 Elmos Semiconductor achieved sales of 175.1 million Euro which is slightly below that of 2007. The company profit increased by 20.5 percent to 10.6 million Euro. In the autumn of 2008 the company had already begun with a reduced wafer input in its production accompanied by cost-reduction measures and short-time work at various sites. With these measures Elmos hopes to come out of the crisis in a strengthened position.
