Ansys closed the business year 2008 with a turnover (GAAP) of 478.3 million US$. In comparison with 2007 the sum increased by 24.1 percent. The net profit in 2008 was 111.7 million US$ which is an increase of 35.6 percent over the previous year. In March 2008 Ansys purchased the Ansoft Company for 832 million US$ in cash and shares. This transaction was included in the current annual results. In April 2008 Ansoft had an annual result of 103.4 million US$ with a net profit of 24.1 million US$. Ansys ended the 4th quarter 2008 with sales of 135.3 million US $ with a net profit of 31.9 million US $. Sales increased by 21.7 percent and the profit by 8.9 percent.
