End of year results 2009 at Texas Instruments 28-01-10


Texas Instruments ended the business year 2009 with a turnover of 10.4 billion US$ and a net profit of 1.47billion US$. In comparison to the previous year the turnover shrank by 17% and the profit by 23%. The turnover was reduced in the segment of Analogue by 12% and in the segment Embedded by 10%; the Wireless segment by 24% and the remainder by 19%.

 

The 4th quarter ended with a turnover of 3.0 billion US$ and a net profit of 655 million US$. Compared to Q4/2008 the turnover was increased by 21% and the profit climbed by a factor of 6. Distributed by segments the growth in turnover was 27% for Analogue, 21% for Embedded, 13% for Wireless and 17% the remainder.
