For 590 Euro ( plus VAT), iSystem will supply an MPC5554 Board, containing 2MB SRAM, JTAG and Nexus Debug interface as well as an iSystem JTAG debugger. Included also are power supply, USB cable and an unlimited licence for the integrated development environment and winIDEA debugger software from iSystem. The package is rounded off by a free GNU C compiler and corresponding on-the-board executable example programs.

The JTAG debugger can be deactivated by a jumper so that, for instance, an external iSystem Nexus on-chip emulator can be connected. With this extension it is possible to access the on-chip Trace via the 38-pin Mictor Debug-Adpater in order to reconstruct the program sequence, carry out time measurements, etc.
