Fairchild Semi opens a center for Automotive solutions 07-08-07

Fairchild Semiconductor has expanded its Global Power Resource Center with the addition of a facility in Ann Arbor, Michigan. This new center responds to the burgeoning need for functional power solutions, including multi-die modules, for automotive power applications. Fairchild offers a portfolio of products, from 1W to (greater than)1200W, to maximize energy efficiency in today's automotive electronic applications such as power management, body control, motor control, ignition and engine management, and electric and hybrid electric vehicle systems.

Fairchild has 12 other Global Power Resource Centers located in Europe, Korea, Taiwan, China and the Americas. These centers are part of the company's Global Power Resource initiative, offering not only system power design but also online design tools, evaluation boards, tutorials and joint research and development labs. To enhance and broaden support for its customers, Fairchild has integrated these resources on its website with design, selection and educational tools for customers to access and optimize designs in real time.
