In the first quarter 2006 Epcos had a turnover of 305 m Euro and a company profit of 800,000 Euro. Compared to the 1st quarter 2005 the turnover improved by 14%. The profit remained the same. The results before interest and taxes (EBIT) in the 1st quarter 2006 was 3.3 million Euro (previous year: 3 million Euro, previous quarter minus 11 m Euro). For products for automobile electronics as well as in transactions with module distributors, the turnover grew by approximately 30%. Turnover growth was also achieved in consumer and industrial electronics. In contrast, the turnover of products for telecommunications was slightly reduced due to pricing. The growth in Germany was the strongest with a good 30%.
