First quarter 2009 at Texas Instruments 22-04-09


In the first quarter of 2009 Texas Instruments had a turnover of 2.086 billion US$ and a net profit of 17 million US$. In comparison to the same quarter of the previous year, the turnover sank by 36 percent and the profit sank by 97 percent. Compared to Q4/2008, the turnover decreased by 16 percent and the profit sank by 84 percent.

  • Analogue: Sales 814 million US$ (-36 percent) operating loss 35 million US$ (compared to 372 million US$ operating profit)
  • Embedded Processing: Sales 316 million US$ (-26 percent) operating profit 2 million US$ (-98 percent)
  • Wireless: Sales 551 million US$ (-40 percent) operating loss 13 million US$ (compared to 153 million US$ operating profit)
  • Others: Sales 405 million US$ (-39 percent) operating profit 56 million US$ (compared to 186 million US$)
