Maxwell Technologies reported revenue of $35.3 million for its first quarter 2011, up 32.7 percent over the 26.6 million recorded in the same period in 2010. Net income was $196000. That compares with a net income of 1.2 million in Q1/10.

First quarter ultracapacitor revenue increased by 55 percent, to $21.4 million. Sales of high voltage capacitor and microelectronics products totaled $13.9 million, up 8 percent from the sum recorded in Q1/09.
