Flomerics, supplier of tools for thermal simulation, for the calculation of electric fields and other analysis software, has taken over the Hungarian MicReD. This company, founded in 1997 as a spinoff of the Budapest University of Technology and Economics, has developed a tool for thermal characterization of ICs, LEDs, mechanical components and other temperature-sensitive modules. Both companies have been cooperating for some years. Financial details were not revealed.
