Four-legged Germans are world champions in robot soccer 22-07-08

In the 12th RoboCup World Championships in Suzhou, China, the German team under the leadership of Max Risler from the Informatics department of the TU Darmstadt won the world title in the four-legged robots league. In the final game they beat a team called Wright Eagle Unleashed fielded by the combined University of Science and Technology, China, and the University of Technology, Sydney/Australia by 5:0. The German team is a cooperation between the TU Darmstadt, the Humboldt University in Berlin and the University of Bremen.
