Omron Electronic Components Business Europe has added an FPC connector family with a pitch of 0.25mm, Omron reduced the assembled mounting height to 0.85mm. Despite its small size, the new Omron XF3C supports all the features that have made Omron’s FPC connectors. These include the unique rotary backlock which is delivered open to reduce the number of assembly steps required and does not disconnect when the FPC is lifted. It also has double-sided contacts, eliminating the need to distinguish between upper and lower contacts when assembling upper and lower PCBs. The four sided housing prevents FPC displacement.
