Dr. Reza Kazerounian

Freescale Semiconductor has named Dr. Reza Kazerounian as its new senior vice president and general manager of the Microcontroller Solutions Group (MSG). Formerly he was president and CEO of STMicroelectronics Inc. Americas. Previously to that, he was chief operating officer with WaferScale Integration, Inc., where he was responsible for all operations, engineering and product development. WaferScale was acquired by STMicroelectronics in September 2000. Dr. Kazerounian received a doctorate degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences from the University of California at Berkeley. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Illinois at Chicago.
