The German automation industry is on a stable growth curve. “With a growth of turnover of almost 11% to more than 42.8 bn Euro and a growth of orders received of over 15% in the year 2007, the electric automation technology spurted into the Olympia Year 2008,” reported Dr. Gunther Kegel Chairman of the ZVEI Association for Automation. “With a plus of 14.6% also the inland market is on a growth path that has not been seen for years,” he continues. More than 226,000 people are employed in the industry in Germany, 7.2% more than in the previous year. According to ZVEI reports, the world market for electric automation grew in the previous year by approximately 7% to 253 bn Euro after a growth of more than 6% in 2006. The German portion of the world production is 14% and Germany is, as before, the largest net exported in things automation.
