The german Verband der Leiterplattenindustrie (VdL) [Association of the Circuit Board Industry] and the ZVEI-Fachverband Electronic Components and Systems report a turnover for the German circuit board manufacturers for August 2006 that is 7% greater than that of the previous month and the same month of the previous year. This is the best result in an August since records have been kept. The cumulative turnover of the industry for the first eight months of the year is 12% above the same period of the previous year. The Book-to-Bill ration reached a value of 0.89. However, this value does not reflect the actual conditions because the extraordinary high orders of the previous months have now been delivered, so reports the VdL and ZVEI.
