The german Verband der Leiterplattenindustrie [Association of the Semiconductor Industry] (VdL) and the german ZVEI Fachverband Electronic Components and Systems in the ZVEI have reported the turnover of circuit board manufacturers in Germany for the month of 2006. Since 2001 they have never been so high for a November. The value exceeded that of the previous month by 11%. The cause is the many orders received due to the movement of contracts from Asia.

Orders received in November grew by 8% compared to October 2006. However this was still below the highest yet annual average, Because of the high turnover, the Book-to-Bill ratio only reached 0.88 but was still higher than that of the previous month. The number of employees corresponded to that of the previous year’s level.
