The german Trade Association for Components Distribution (FBDi) [Fachverband der Bauelemente Distribution e.V.] announces a growth of turnover of 1.4%. Although the turnover decreased seasonally, yet in comparison with the previous year, the member firms report a bottom line of 641 m Euro in cumulated turnover. However, the order position was weak also Q2 with a Book-to-Bill-Rate of 0.98 and a decrease in orders by 2.4%. The first half-year closed with a plus of 5.4%% to 1.35 b Euro turnover.
In the group with the strongest turnover, the semiconductor modules, the turnover decreased by 1.1% (in comparison: Europe -3%) to 447 m Euro. The portion of semiconductors of the total turnover remained stable at 70%. Passive components grew by 11.3% to 103 m Euro and the electro-mechanicals by 7.6% to 74 m. This corresponds to a portion of 16% and 12%.Whilst the power supplies continued their growth, the turnover of the FDBi members with displays declined in double figures.
