German-Russian laser centre 13-09-05

The first Russian-German testing and consulting centre for laser technology (EBZL) was opened in Moscow yesterday. The laser centre is due to start its operations in September. The overall costs of the centre, jointly financed by Germany and Russia, are approximately two million Euros. German machine building companies are providing a portion with 400.000 Euros. The Federal Ministry of Research is supporting the construction of the centre with 1.1 million Euros and the Russian side are contributing 540.000 Euros to the financing.
